FreePlay Soccer™ is taking the game back to its roots - the streets, the schoolyards, and the grass fields that are sitting empty. In a simpler time, kids would organize their own games and play until the sun went down. We've brought this environment back, in a time when youth sports have become very professionalized and packaged from the earliest ages. We host a weekly 1.5-hour window of field time where kids of all ages and skill levels can meet up for pickup soccer. Our coaches provide the pinnies, balls, mark the fields, and get the games going (only if kids need some direction). It's 1.5 hours of fun, goals, laughs, and self-guided learning. We try not to coach and train too much. It's their day.
Ages 6-12 (U7-U13).
We are hiring a Technical Director interested in an exciting part-time career in youth soccer, who will be in charge of Street Soccer/mini soccer and potentially futsal, additional weekday training, and camps.

Running from May to June, our spring program follows BC Soccer’s Active Start model, focusing on fun, movement, and play to help kids develop essential motor skills like running, jumping, and kicking in a positive, engaging environment.

Each winter, the Steveston Development Soccer Club (DSC) becomes the Steveston FUTSAL Club.
Futsal provides players with 5X the touches of traditional soccer, helping improve the speed and quality of in-game decisions. It’s also credited with shaping many of the world’s top players.
A limited number of game-only spots are available through the PDSL for Steveston FUTSAL Club, depending on space with league partners such as the Pacific Futsal League. The overall level of play is high, so team selections will be made at PDSL’s discretion.
To unlock the full potential of FUTSAL in Steveston, a Technical Director or Head of Futsal Development is needed to lead weekday practices and organize friendly matches. This role creates more game opportunities against intra-club teams and other Development Soccer Clubs, including Cloverdale DSC, White Rock United, and Delta DSC for starters.
